  You expect bad service from the Post Office, but it's inconceivably frustrating when they don't even know what their policies are. I had a package delivered from overseas, and unfortunately the USPS doesn't provide a new tracking number for foreign mail shipments. That's frustrating, but not the end of the world. I finally get one of those salmon colored cards in my box stating I need to sign for the package. Mind you, there is an option on the card to pre-sign for the package and have the item left at your house. Which is exactly what I did. I signed the card, and left the card in my mail box for pick up on Friday. The card was picked up on Friday, and I figured the packaged would be re-delivered on Saturday, because that is what the instructions say on the card. Well Saturday comes, and the mailman comes and goes. I find out he left me another stupid pink card. I track him down in my neighborhood and say, 'hey I'm sorry I missed you, can I get my package?'. He tells me oh no, I don't have it, you have to schedule a redelivery online. So basically, all of the instructions on the card are pointless. Now, this is where I got furious. It was 1245, when he told me he didn't have my package, and it was still at the post office. Well, guess what? The Post Office closes at 1pm on Saturday!!! So, instead of my package being delivered on Thursday, I have to try on Monday, simply because they can't be bothered to read the directions on their own documents. UGHHHHH I hate the Post Office. If they had to compete in the private sector they would have been out of business 30 years ago.
